SC321 - SHOES and Mojo180 MORE SHOES

Today I created a couple of cards (so make sure you scroll all the way down so you don't miss the second card). The first card I created was for Splitcoasts
Sketch Challenge SC321. My Stamp I used is part of the Dancing Princess from Your Next Stamp. Who doesn't like shoes and purses??? I have so many I'm afraid to count LOL!

Here is my Card:

This was so fun to create. I colored it with my Copics and added LOTS of bling. Stickles and Rhinestones and more Stickles and more Rhinestones. I used the Basic Grey EVA stack for my DP. The Sentiment is from Amy R and reads, "Totally Chic". Here are a few close ups.

I used three different MFT Die-namics on this, the
Open Scallop Boarder, the Rolled Flower and the smaller leaves from the Flower Trio and Leaf Trio. I'm truly addicted to these Dies, They are truly wonderful.

Now for my Second card. I also decided to play along for Mojo Monday 180. I decided to go 'Round'. I love this option at the end of a long month to get different. I used the same papers and the same Stamp Set from Your Next Stamp, except the sentiment I created on my PC and it reads, "Time to Shop". I also created the Clock on my PC.

Here's what I created:

This is an awesome Sketch!

How Cute do these two projects look together LOL?!

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you guys are having a fabulous week!

SFC87 - Squigglefly Challenge 'Scraps'

It's that time again for another Squigglefly Challenge :)

This weeks Challenges is fabulous. You need to use Scraps of any kind to create your card like Paper Scraps, Ribbon Scraps, etc. I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I have a box of cut up scraps that are left over from other cards that I have made. Every time I make a card I promise myself that I'm going to use up my scraps, and I always cut into new paper *sighs* lol. So this Challenge is just what I needed.

I started by going threw my Scrap and Trash piles (stuff I have tossed aside with no plans of ever using, but too much of a hoarder to actually throw away) heheheh. I found a bunch of fun patterns and colors and scrap pieces of paper and ribbon. I cleaned up the papers I selected by cutting them into squares to use as the background with my Nestabilities. I also found some poka-dotted ribbon that was kind of unloved and just sitting around collecting dust. I also found a fabulous piece of chipboard (that I used for the boarder around my stamp). It had white all over it and looked like it was ready for the trash lol. I painted it with some Acrylic paints and brought it back to life. It was a fabulous feeling to use something that I was originally going to throw away. There is a small nick in the frame, but that's the beauty of using Scraps. The stamp I used is called Tweet Elephant from Squigglefly. Is it not the most adorbale ever! The Sentiment is from an Amy R stamp set that reads, "We're The Perfect Pair". This is the card I created :)

I also got a new OTT light (yippeeee) and I think it has really improved the look of my photos over all. It seems to bring out details in my photos that I wasn't picking up with my Camera alone. I have been wanting this light forever, and I'm so pleased with it. It was worth every penny, but of course I used a 50% off Coupon so the price was seriously reasonable. It beats just a regular lamp with a Daylight bulb by a mile.

Here are some close ups of my card.

I love the dimension that the Chipboard gives the card, and it really took 15 minutes to paint and dry. I loved it so much I have been digging to find other pieces to incorporate into future cards.

Thank you so much for visiting and please come visit us for the Challenge. We have free prizes and lots of fun. All the details for the Challenge can be found at the

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

SFC85 - Squigglefly Monday Challenge

It's that time again for our Squigglefly MONDAY Challenge.

Come on over and join us for a non-traditional Valentine's Day Challenge - NO PINKS and NO REDS. The main color of choice today is Purple. Also use paper piecing, hearts and whatever else your heart desires. The Challenge details are posted on the blog starting Monday at 7am CST. It is very difficult to stay away from reds and pinks, so grab your crafty and creative thinking caps and join in!

I choose to use the image
ALMOST A PRINCE. As soon as I saw this image I fell in love with it, and just HAD to have it. I'm not sure about the rest you, but I have kissed a lots of frogs in my day hoping for a prince lol. This image is so awesome, it brings back childhood memories of princesses and fairy tales. It's Magical!

I paper pieced her dress using a solid purple paper, but added white flowers with my white Signo gel pen. I also added Stickles on the frog, his crown and her lovely star wand. I just can't seem to make a card these days without using Stickles. I'm addicted to glitter as it runs threw my blood for sure. When I cough - glitter pops out .....just teasing :) I darkened the below photo so you can see the real beauty of the sparkle and glitter this image has.

I also used another favorite item of mine - cork paper. This stuff is amazing and really matches with any project you are doing. It just seems to go perfectly with everything! I cut the hearts out using my new MFT die-namics HEARTS OF PLENTY, yet another addiction. I can not make a card without using some sort of Die-namics die lol. These things rock, and are a must have if you haven't tried them yet. They seem to cut threw anything - including my thick cork paper.

I also used my MFT die-namics as a border for the lower half of the card. Both the Jumbo Scallop and Open Scallop. I finished it all off with a heart button and some matching twine.

Now all we need is for that Magical Prince to appear :)

Also just some informational things going on at Squigglefly. We are currently raising money for Lucky the cat. She needs a serious operation and for the whole month of February any feline stamps purchased at Squigglefly will help Lucky out. ALL proceeds will go to Lucky. You can read about Lucky HERE.

This darling cat need us, so it's a perfect time to purchase up some stamps that feature cats over at Squigglefly. I myslef have 3 cats and I don't know what I would do if this happened to one of my babies. The site is constantly giving us updates on Lucky, so take a peak if you can.

Also here is more. CLICK HERE to see the awesome things people are putting up for sale to help Lucky out as well.

My First Kenny K :)

Happy Valentines Day (a lil early) :)

Today I created my first card using a Kenny K Digi Stamp. I have been eyeing up these stamps for a while now, and I figured it was time to dive in and give them a try. I'm in Love with them!!!! I used Carmen Electrifying (how cute is that name)! I think these images are PERFECT for guy cards for Valentine's Day. Super Sexy lol. Here is the card I created. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out.

I used my Cricut to cut out the Heart and Wings. The layered hearts (both red and Blue) I did hand cut since the heart that came with the original image was cartonish so I had to improvise there. The wings are layered with Stickles. I also used my MFT Scalloped Die-namics and used this cool Silver Diamond plate paper for it. What guy doesn't like diamond plate? It just reminds me of Motorcycles and Garages LOL.

I even added a Harley Davidson Button to complete the whole 'guy' look.
The Corner piece is a a misc. piece of chipboard I had laying around that I colored with my R08 Copics. I also added a few Rhinestones for a sparkly touch. Check her sunglasses out. I first colored them with my Sparkly Spica pens and then layered over that with Crystal Effects to make them look realistic. I love the results of that combination!!!

Speaking of Crystal Effects, once I started using it I just couldn't stop LOL! I also layer it over her boots to make them look like leather. I also layered my Spica Glitter pens under certain parts to give it deeper dimension.

Finally I added the Sentiment. I hand cut the flag and curled it to give it dimension. I totally love this effect and I have been wanting to give that a shot, and this was the perfect opportunity. I'll be using this technique more as I love the results from it. It gives you that Dimension that really makes a card pop. The Sentiment was stamped with a Micheal's Dollar stamp and a combo of my Momento Dew Drops Ink in Blue and Red.

Thanks so much for Visiting and I hope you all have a GREAT Valentine's Day. Kelly and I are headed off to a Local winery for the day. It's 50 degrees here (HAHA - warm to us) and they are having a band playing. Off to sip some bubbly :)

Monograms Anyone?

Hi all,

I have the cutest digi stamp sets ever to show you all today. It's the all new Gothic Monogram and the new Monogram Frames set from Squigglefly. You can purchase both now at the Squigglefly Website. Now that I'm finally unburied from my house (it took 4 days to dig out - lol) there was plenty of card making time. These new Monograms are so cool and there are tons of different fonts and 18 different frames. You get all 18 frames for under 4$ (swoooon lol). Is that not a fabulous deal or what!

Here are a few note cards I created. Now you may be asking why I used a 'B' instead of a 'D' for Diana. My nickanme is Buttercup so I use 'B' as well as 'D'. Are you confused yet, lol?
On to my note cards...

How cute are these - hehehehe. I had a blast working with them and the frames are awesome. Since they are Digi Stamps you can adjust the frame sizes so they cut perfect with your Circle Nestabilities.

I could have easily made tons of these to send out to friends as notes. I also can't wait to add Monograms to my personal items around my Scrap room. ENDLESS ways to use them I say : )

Also don't forget to run over to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog and play along with this Monday's Challenge. The Challenge is to use Circles, and it will be posted at 7am CST Monday. There is a great prize up for grabs to the winner of the challenge, so don't miss out.

Thanks so much for visiting. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!!
