Modern Sugar Blvd Design Team Call

Modern Sugar Blvd is having a Design Team call for there new company opening soon online!! HOW EXCITING ... They are looking for 10 DT members. Make sure to check out there site, THE STORE WILL OPEN ON APRIL 20th!!! so check it out (link above). There are lots of exciting things happening on there blog prior to the 20th.

Here is how it's going to work. On April 5th the top 20 will be announced, at which point the 20 will get emailed to them 2 more digi stamps to create 2 more cards to be entered by April 10th. Then, on April 12th the DT's will be announced!!!!!

Here is my card I created for this DT call. I'm so excited, yet nervous too lol. I'm crossing my fingers as I would LOVE to be on a DT for Digi stamps (since I use digis a lot). Now a lot of you may think I'm nutz for trying out (since I'm a newer stamper), but I figured I would give it a try as they are taking all skill levels from beginner to expert...The beginner has to be represented somehow right LOL. Plus who could resist the image they wanted us to use, it was SOOOO super CUTE!!!! It's Darling isn't it? Make sure to grab yours free on there site!

Now for the card .....

Supplies: Digi Stamp Modern Sugar Blvd

Sentiment: Studio G Designs

Ribbon: Sheer Blue

Techinique: Colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol

Patterned Paper: My Minds Eye

Rhinestone: My Momenta and MFT .

Flowers: Prima

Button: The Paper Studio

Nestibilities: Circle used for Sentiment

Ink: Sponged Memento Tangelo and Sentiment Stamped in Memento Bahama Blue.

I sponged the Sentiment with the Tangelo first for a lil extra UMPH :). Here is a close up of the sentiment and button area. I was trying to go for something different and new, plus the card was all about STYLE to me so I had to bling it out :)

So what do you think? let me know - Wish me Luck...fingers crossed!!! Thanks for looking!

SPRING FEVER

Spring is in the air....at least I wish it was lol. The weather still isn't yet Spring Like, but it's getting there.

I made this card using my Michael's 1$ Stamps. I used two seperate stamps for the main image and I masked the ADORABLE chickey so I could add the flowers around it lol. The sentiment is also a 1$ stamp. For the background I used my shaped scissors to cut strips. I did a lot of thinking on this to try and figure out how to make it look like an Easter egg :)

I used Vellum around the main image to lighten things up a bit, vellum makes me think pastel colors for sure! The Polka Doted ribbon seemed a perfect fit too. Pink and White Polka Dots reminds me of Easter lol.

Thanks for looking! Have a great day. XOXOX DEE :)

It's the Little Things

Here is my second Bella Card. I love the Bella's. I purchased about 15 of them and yesterday I spent the day cutting and mounting them :) I like to trim my Bella's a little more than just leaving them how they come, and I also like to mount them on EZ Mount. It seems easier for me to stamp out with them on the EZ Mount :) Since I purchased it - I have been anxious to use this one.

I actually did this card for BCC71 - Which is The Bella Color challenge on SCS ...

I colored in the stamp using a combination of Prismacolor Pencils/Gamsol and Copics. I figured it would help me transition some to using my Copics more. The light blue outline and shadow she is standing on were done with a Copics BG10. I have seen this shadow method on lots of cards and I really like how it makes the imagie pop!

I used Glossy Acents to highlight the word 'little'.

Supplies Used:

- CS is all by The Paper Studio

- Ink - Memneto Tuxedo Black on the Bella and Memento Grape Jelly on the setiment (Dew Drop ink pads)

- Coloring - Primacolor Pencils/Gamsol and Copics

- Not sure on the Ribbon as I purchased it at a crop in a bargin bin. Tons of ribbon for $2 a pack. This was a piece that was in my bundle.

- Buttons - The Paper Studio (was dying to use this big button when I first saw it)

- Gemstones - Hero Arts

- Flowers - Prima Frosty Flower Glacee

- Thanks for looking!!!

Welcome Home Anya

I had a great time making this card and I love the Anya stamps. This is the Dorothy Digi Stamp. At first I wasn't sure I would like Digi Stamps but....*drum roll* lol..... I LOVE IT!!! It was so easy to use. I love that you can size them and make multiple prints over and over. It was fun to use and you will see more Digi Anya creations in the future here as I purchased all of them lol.

This card was created for Sketch Challenge #2 over at Club Anya :) - There's a contest for new stamps as the grand prize - how fun is that!!!

This card also reminds me of my sister. We welcomed her into our home when she was 12 years old. It was threw Foster Care......today she is 21. When she first arrived she seemed so lost and she found her way 'home' to us. She was so cute when she arrived and it so reminded me of this Anya Image. This card has very special meaning to me. Hope you all likey!

I love how cute she is!!! I placed toto in the flower ...thought he would look extra cute on the flower.

She was colored with Prisma color Pencils and Oderless Mineral Spirits :) I used mostly The Paper Studio for the CS and the buttons. The iridescent flowers were purchased at Scrappin It (LSS) in a bargin bin. I used a Red Atyou Spica glitter pen on her shoes - Very sparkly ....Thanks for looking~*hugz* all :)
